Fast Finish is operated by MC Media Studios. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and your rights under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
Event filming and photography
Fast Finish operates at public sporting events with the permission of the event organiser. We film the finish line in a public space and capture slow-motion video clips and photo stills of each finisher.
For events run by third-party organisers, participant consent to be filmed and photographed is covered under that organiser's event entry terms. For example, Run21 Series participants agree under Section 11 of the Run21 Terms & Conditions that their name, picture, and likeness may be used for promotional purposes by the organiser, sponsors, and assignees — Fast Finish operates as a service provider and assignee of Run21 for those events. Event organisers are responsible for ensuring their entry terms include appropriate media consent before engaging Fast Finish.
Watermarked preview clips are published on a publicly accessible event page, searchable by participant name. Clean (unwatermarked) clips and stills are made available only to participants who choose to purchase a download.
We may occasionally use event footage or stills for promotional purposes such as our website or social media. If you would like footage of you excluded from any marketing use, or would like your clip removed from the event page entirely, contact us at hello@fastfinish.co.nz and we will action your request promptly.
What we collect
Finish line footage. Slow-motion video and photo stills of each finisher, captured at the event. Footage is stored on Cloudflare R2 and retained for a reasonable period following the event.
Participant names and finish times. Received from the event organiser via a results file. Used solely to match clips to participants on the event page.
Contact enquiries. If you fill out the organiser enquiry form, we collect your name, email address, event name, and any message you provide. Used only to respond to your enquiry.
Payment data. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs that transaction.
Usage data. This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect anonymised traffic data (page views, general location). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

To verify a purchase and deliver download links.
Occasionally, to promote Fast Finish on our website or social media (footage only — contact us to opt out).

Copyright
All video footage and photo stills captured by Fast Finish remain the intellectual property of MC Media Studios. Purchasing a download grants you a personal, non-commercial licence to use the content. Images and clips may not be used for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to access and correct any personal information we hold about you. You may also request removal of your finish line clip and stills from the event page at any time. To make any request, contact us at the address below and we will respond within five business days.
